What does it mean to ‘PlantRight’?

We’ve intentionally designed a program aimed at landscapers to help them be more successful by learning the correct way to plant trees, shrubs, and perennials. This course was created by a team of horticulture professionals including an arborist with more than 30 years of experience in the field, Rick Spurgeon (aka Professor PlantRight). The training consists of a written training manual, hands-on planting, and a series of videos we’ve created especially for this training.

KAT and Brehob customers are invited to take part in this training to help their crews become more knowledgeable and efficient in their jobs. Some items that are required in order to go through the training include the commitment from those companies that our products, including PlantRight Bio-Life 800+ and PlantRight Compost, are used on ALL projects, regardless of the size of the job. We know that training and using the right products will help our customers be more successful with fewer call-backs from customers whose plants have died. We not only want you to succeed as a landscape professional, but we owe it to our industry and clients.

What is the PlantRight Guarantee?

Companies participating in the PlantRight Guarantee are required to send their supervising and installation crews to a training class. Designers, landscape architects, company officers, owners, and office personnel are encouraged to also attend the hands-on demonstrations of
the proper way to plant trees, shrubs, and perennials to gain a better understanding of the PlantRight Guarantee and its components. Our ultimate goal is to encourage everyone in the company to become familiar with our recommended procedures. The PlantRight Guarantee was developed to help our customers learn a better way to plant trees, shrubs, and perennials that will give their plants the best chance of long-term survival that results in happy customers because of their beautiful plants and landscape. The PlantRight system is a combination of efficient and functional transplanting techniques plus the use of necessary soil additives to create a favorable plant growing environment.
